The famous TV psychic, whose real name was Youree Dell Harris, played a Jamaican shaman on her well-known commercials, but in reality she was born and raised in Los Angeles.
For a per-minute fee, callers could call in to Miss Cleo’s hotline and receive psychic advice, though eventually the Psychic Readers Network was investigated and forced to pay a huge financial settlement.
